What are the legal rights of RV campers in Frederick county Md.? Are persons who live full time in campgrounds in their own campers considered "tenants" in Frederick County?

Just a question about Zoning laws involving RV's (campers)? I done some research and couldn't find anything, I was wondering if in the state of Ohio, City; Mansfield, If it is illegal to live in in RV (camper) On someones property; For example in a relatives or close friends back yard.

Would it be easier to pay for an RV/camper or get an apartment? Me and a friend were planning on moving out into an apartment when we noticed we could get a fairly alright RV or camper for $12,000 - we could get a loan for it and pay the loan off over time (interest won't really matter), and have the ability to roam around and temporarily live somewhere while looking for a job without having to pay for housing. Where do I find a RV/Camper sized twin mattress? Specifically, what I want is a mattress that is at, or under, 24 inches wide, by 6 foot long, or so. The key is I need it to be 24 inches wide, or in that range. I know that I've seen new campers with those narrow width beds, normally stacked two or even three high. I have an older camper with a queen bed in the back, and I want to switch it to a pair of stacked narrow beds, to sleep 4...separately. I've looked at campingworld.com and giantrecreationworld.com, and didn't see those at either of them. The most narrow one I've found is 34 inches wide, which is just standard twin width. 1. Does anyone know where I can buy those narrow mattresses? Please provide a URL. 2. Any other ideas for getting more sleeping space in the back bedroom. It's a 7 1/2 foot by 8 1/2 rear bedroom. Keep in mind it has the water heater and the powersupply back there.

Say there's a storm and you loose power, If you're without power for a long time, you could loose the food in your refrigerator/freezer. Is there a refrigerator that would automatically convert to LP when you loose power and revert back to AC when the power comes back on? I know that RV's have these types of refrigerators, but all the refrigerators I've seen in campers are small and can't hold much.

My dually pickup can't fit under my RV slide in truck camper I just purchased. Please Help!? I have a 9' slide in truck camper from the late 70's. I also have a '99 F350 dually pickup. The back end of my pickup measures exactly 8' wide from out edges of tires and wheel wells. From inner most point to inner most point of my tripod jacks measures 6'. What can I purchase online to extend my stands out an extra foot on each side to allow the 8' clearance? I have seen a box extension and a bracket but that still puts me under where I need to be. The jacks are currently mounted on the outer most point of the camper. Does anyone have any secrets or helpful suggestions besides to consult with my local RV place (they are not used to these type campers since I am from NJ)? It came with a 3 jack setup setup (2 jacks on L side, 1 on right) and not four like usual. I would only need to extend the two closest to the front. Also any home made extensions ideas are much appreciated! Thanks!

House training a Pug puppy ... better in an RV or a house? PUG EXPERTS PLEASE! It is a hard breed to house break, I know! Our family is looking into getting another Pug puppy after ours sadly died at 11 months with no warning whatsoever. Because we want to save money while my dad transitions jobs, we are likely to move into a very LARGE RV (we're talking the ridiculous ones with 4 pop-outs that only hardcore campers buy) and stay there for a few months. My question is would it be easier to house train a Pug puppy in a large house or a large RV? If we get the puppy now, it may not even be housebroken by the time we're in the RV (Pugs are stubborn). The puppy will still have 24/7 access to a place to do his biz either way and it is less confusing for puppies when their "nest" is smaller. PLEASE do not post anything saying it is unfair to the puppy to have it live in an RV ... it will be by no means neglected and more likely very spoiled and never alone :) *The RV will be on a beach which we will be at every day.

From Phoenix to Grand Canyon in RV Rental? Any suggestions? We'll be flying into Phoenix for a convention. After it's over, I would just love to coordinate renting an RV to tour around a few days and see the Grande Canyon. Any suggestions? I'm wondering if there's an easier, logical way to do this. We likely would be picking up a rental car at the airport on arrival so we can get to the convention hotel and get around for a few days. When the convention ends we would need to either drive to an RV rental in Phoenix then return the car and go on to the GC or keep the rental car and go to GC and rent an RV or Cabin there. I don't want to pay for both an RV and a rental car. I'm starting to go cross-eyed with all these Websites about RV Rentals etc and really would like to hear from somebody with experience to share on this subject. Can towing a vehicle behind a camping trailer (RV) cause damage to a vehicles suspension? I purchased a 2007 Saturn Ion yesterday and after the paperwork was signed and I was about to leave it was disclosed that the car was towed excessively behind an RV. The people who owned the vehicle before I did were retired and were "professional" campers who were on the road 8+ months per year. My Dad is concerned that the excessive towing may have caused a suspension problem or some other major mechanical issue that may not make it self obvious until after I've driven it for some time. Any advice would be appreciated. And also if you have sources for your response please include them. =) Thank you

Need to hook up speakers to the tv in our rv? We had an Emerson 19" LCD TV w/built-in DVD player in our RV (a hybrid trailer). We have trouble hearing the sound when the A/C is on or if it is raining. We canturn the volume up to its max, but still need to have the subtitles on (a pain!), plus then you can hear the sound OUTSIDE the trailer because it's up so loud. We don't want to be annoying other campers at night, and don't want to have to be reading subtitles all the time. We'd like to hook up an inexpensive set of speakers to place next to the sofa and next to the dinette. Any suggestions?

Conversion van? Ok I am looking for a certain style of van. It's not the boxy-type, with just seats. Instead, there's headroom for walking standing-up, there's special seats, with a walkway between them, leading to the back where a small bed is. And it might have a potty. And a table, or cabinets/storage areas of some sort. What is this, is this a conversion van? Basically I'm looking for some old fashioned van that could be taken on a long road trip (Florida to Nevada, to Arizona, to California) and be lived out of fairly comfortably by a couple. I've seen these vehicles before, I want one, and I don't know what they are technically called. Like RV campers but Vans. Not RV's, not the big long trailer-style hog. Thank you. Portable washing machine? I need a pratical good but small portable washing machine combo (not a stackable but a washing machine and dryer in one unit) . I have found some european size washing machines but they are still to big and the rv or campers washing machine is too small. I also need one that I can plug into a 110/115 v outlet. OK, REALLY dreaming here...but what would the ULTIMATE dog training center have? I found some property in my area, 178 acres for sale, not far from the main city, easy to access, close to the Lake. WISH I had the $$ to buy it. My dream training/show center.... Property TOTALLY fenced in, house for judges to relax/sleep, vet on call with a treatment room, 50 acres set off for RV's/campers with 1/2 acre fenced in area around the site for the dogs to run. Two or more story training center (with crates set into the walls that are heated and A/C'd). A place where you can train your dog from pup classes to Agility, Therapy, SAR, Open, Utility etc..A fully stocked grooming area. A Bed and Breakfast again with crates set into the walls. A doggie day care, complete with pools, slides, shaded areas, lots of fun stuff for them to do Full kitchen so you can get some GOOD food to eat:) And, of course, someone to pick up the poo!! First time camper (embarassed about that) looking for recommendations for the best place to go? Looking for the best experience - of course near/preferably ON a lake or river but able to still be among the trees and in wooded area - not as far as Yosemite (don't have time to drive all the way there) and not crowded...primitive camping OK (going with experienced campers who don't really know the areas in CA)...I just need to know where we can go to have the best experience for a four-five day camping stay. I haven't taken time off from work in over a year and a half and am desperate to figure this out as soon as possible! I have heard Big Bear, Wheelers Gorge, Kahweh and Lake Piru...but I would love to know if those are good places. I know great camping spots are secrets that real campers keep well but I'm begging! Thanks so much to anyone who has time to help me out with this question! Oh, we are looking for tent camping...no RV's... :)

Generators for a House? My electric keeps going out and during the Winter it's really bad. Someone said I could get a Generator that would last 13 hours or more. A portable one. I see ones online for RV's and Campers but nothing for the house that is reasonable in price. Anyone know what I should get and where I should get it? Thanks.

How can I survive next week? Christmas? My family is coming over to the trailor park for XMas. We've rented some spaces for their RV's and Campers, but I really can't handle them. My aunt is nearly 800 pounds and my momma is 600 pds. Together they eat nearly $1000 worth of Food Stamps, and how am I going to feed the rest of the family? My Uncle is bringing his strange girlfriend over, and my son and daughter are both bringing thier respective lovers. Even though my daughter is in love with my neighbors dog. Should I feed him Kibbles and Bits? And what should I do about my Senile Grandma? She always wants to fly like the reindeer, and we can't keep her off the roof. My Sister won't stop feeling me up in front of my wife and girlfriend, and what should should I tell her husband, my father? Aarrggh, the holidays are so difficult. What can I do?
