We are bringing in 4 times the amount of inventory for a week sale we will run in September. Our own product as well as consignments. I am looking for a real catchy name for the event. I was fired from a RV sales job for lying about drinking at lunch with clients and co-workers.? One year later the companies general manager has personally stopped over to my home to offer me my position back. I was top salesman consistantly for the 4 years I worked there. The GM informed me that sales currently are slumping and the concenses is that I could stimulate sales and other salesman. Extremely flattering, but selling RV's in MI now is a concern. And I am currently selling less presigous home improvement products making a simular wage but travel expenses are high. I am asking for advice on what to do. Take the RV job with the strong option for Sales Manager and risk of low sales. Or stay put with current position where sales arealso rocky but picking up.

When buying a used RV, do sales tax apply? Please help me!! I am considering buying a 2006 Keystone Cougar RV (model 302RLS) which presently exists in a campground, and would stay where it is. how do I register an open title rv from oklahoma in texas. I have a signed title but no notory stamp or date? I just bought a used rv that has expired inspection and regisrtation stickers. I was told by the seller that the title is an open title and with the bill of sale I can pay the sales tax and then register it. Reserved RV is not available for Sept trip, What should they substitute? We reserved a 26 foot Diesel Class C RV for a vacation in September from a RV Sales/Rental company. We reserved this is February, I went on their website today and they no longer have that Diesel RV available. They have a 22 foot Class C Diesel but it is small and does not have a full bed in it, it only has a bunk bed and a sofa sleeper, it would be too small for our family of 5. They have a 38 foot Class A RV that is a Diesel that has the full bed and would accommodate our family. The price of our rental is $300 more than the price of the 22 foot and $400 less than the 38 foot. Which do you think they will substitute? Diesel RV rental was at a higher rate and deposit than the non-diesel RVs, they do have a 26 foot RV available but it is not a Diesel engine. Here are the terms of the rental contract for availability: "If for any reason beyond our control the reserved vehicle is not available at pick-up, we will substitute a vehicle of equivalent value or higher rated vehicle at no additional cost. We make no guarantee that a specific model year will be available at the time of contract. If a lower rated vehicle is offered and accepted, our responsibility is limited to refund the difference between the vehicles." I called the RV company about it and they said someone would call me back next week to discuss the issue. I am curious what others think they will do. I do not feel we should have to take the smaller RV due to the fact that we reserved the larger one with a full bed for the extra room for our family, we also reserved a Diesel because it gets far better gas mileage! Opinions, please?

should I take a job for a rv mechanic? I currently work at a automotive shop through a temporary service. I've work their for 2 years and had a chance to get hired in but some how did not. I'm tired of working twice as hard as the associates and only get half the pay. (8.50) I have a chance to get a job at a rv dealership as a mechanic which pays 10.00 an hour. The only problem is I don't know if this is a good idea because i don't think rv sales are too good but they still need to get them serviced. Looking for rv bathroom parts. Anyone have good sources? I have a horse trailer with a small living quarters that I would like to build out. We already have a generator, ac, and heater, and we know where to get everything but the bathroom materials. We would like to put in one of those bathroom units that combines the toilet and shower. The RV/travel trailer sales industry is a lockstep monolithic throwback. Virtually every dealer charges a price within 5% of every other dealer. Surely, there has to be one or more maverick dealers who use the tried & true "invoice + %" sales technique...and offers a hassle free sales atmosphere. Job selling RVs. Not too sure whether it's a good idea? My husband interviewed today for a RV sales position. They explained that they paid him a draw of minimum wage and then applied his commissions to that. They also said that all their sales people were doing okay even though the industry has tanked. I'm worried that my husband won't sell enough to ever make more than minimum wage. Anyone tell me how this type of pay works? Do you think that selling RVs right now would be wise?

Anyone have experience with this RV and motor. Was it a good model, durable, etc. ? Found 1984 Winnebago Itasca for sale. 27 feet, 44,000 miles, Chevy 454 gas engine, auto trans. Equipped with 3-way frig, air cond., Onan self contained generator, forced air furnace, CB and TV with inside hookups, outside antenna's, awning, full size shower, sleeps extra 4, 60-70% rubber, oven, range. Says it runs and drives well. It was very clean all the way around. Found no loose wires or lines, no signs water stains around windows, dual tail pipes were solid and tight on the clamps, all metal door panels w/o locks were in good shape, open and closed well. Rear bumper bent out on one side maybe 6-8 inches, ladder missing one bolt at bottom on left side, still climbed to roof and felt sturdy going up. Metal roof, metal vent covers, no signs of damage, seams running around outer edges showed no signs of patchwork having been done. Tail pipes had dents and small amount of dirt hanging on as if backing up and manuvering didn't always go well. Asking $6200.

Propane Sales from Filling Stations? I'm wondering if anyone knows if the propane filling stations where you get your tanks filled are inspected to ensure accuracy? I often see approval stickers on the scales, however if I use a container too big to be placed on the scale or have a tank that is not removable, such as in an RV, the propane is sold by the gallon meter. I never see an inspection sticker on the gallons indicator. I understand that the correct procedure is to weigh the propane, but in the above situations where it is not possible to do that how do I know the accuracy is correct?

How does an electric brake controller work? I just bought a travel trailer through a private sale and although my tow vehicle came with the factory tow package, I was told I still need to get an electric brake controller, stabilizer bars and a friction brake. Can someone explain what these are and how they work. I know the basic function of the brake controller is to activate the trailers brakes but does it just connect to the wiring or does it somehow connect to the pedal? ***Attention veteran RV'rs. Have no fear. I plan on having these things professionally installed and will give the public plenty of notice before my dumb ass gets on the open road.****

Where is the closest place to Southern California with snowboarding year round? How much will it cost to go? Hey I bought snowboard in an afterseason sale and I was looking for a way to try it out before next season. I heard about these year round resorts and I thought that would be cool so I was hoping there would be someplace to go snowboarding for not very much money. Im putting on a low budget TV add for a RV dealer. Is this a good idea? 3 salesman. 1st wakes up in a cold sweat having had a bad dream that all the RV on his lot were gone. He goes to each individual salesman panicked to inform the others. (each of them in a different RV adjascent to each other. Living in a RV, doable or stupid? I was looking into living in a RV recently. I've actually found one for sale with a new engine (85)... its a overland, 34-36 feet (unsure which). Has a queen size bed and extra bed above the drivers/passengers seat. It has a couch/2 extra chairs/new furnace, full bath/shower/stove/micro, etc. TV (random stuff thats outdated)... lol. It has a new engine with 1400 miles on it and a original transmission - was purchased new by the couple but rarely used due to the fact his wife became ill. Its been sitting - sun has toasted the paint on the outside. It shows its age. They're asking $5000. Worth it? 75 gallon gas tank, has a water tank, 3 batterys, solar charger, hitch, etc.

I traded in an RV for an other one and it was a CASH transaction. I was promised 15,000. to pay mine off.? They paid mine off and the bank sent me a check for 253 bucks. Now mind you I owed under 14000. for my trade. So my question would be what happened to the 1000 extra? It would not be subtracted because this is a cash sale. I would think it would belong to me, should I ask the dealer for it?

bought 5th wheel in US, have all doc's. What do I need to get a custom hauler to bring rv thru customs for me Purchased 5th wheel trailer on E-Bay want a hauler to pick up the 5th wheel in N.H. and deliver it to Medicine Hat Alta. I am being sued after an RV trade. Do they have a case? Do I? Ok, I traded my 5th wheel for their RV/tow car combo. No money was exchanged. I got a bill of sale that states "even trade (no money was exchanged)" After the trade I looked up the blue book (I know, stupid), and I felt like I got the bad end of the deal by approx. $4-$7K. But, live & learn, right? Now, a month later they tell me that the roof on the 5th was bad and they want $2,500 (1/2 of what they claim repairs will cost) or their tow car back. I say, "no way, you got better end of deal." They claim I knew the roof was bad and the trade was done under false pretenses. (Not only did I not know, I think there's a chance they are lying or exaggerating for money). Now they are suing me. Also, they said their rig was 1989 and 32 ft long, but really it's 1988 and 31 ft long and in need of some repairs of it's own. ????? 1) Do they have a case against me? 2) Do I have a counter-claim against them for fraud/repairs?
